Please have an open mind to things that you do not know. Understand that we live in a world where we are bombarded constantly with suggested thoughts and ideas. How easily as a society we can collectively forget something in our past, maybe something that should be forgotten, but remembering the past can bring clarity to the future.

I waited all day to see if anyone would remember the anniversary of something that happened 10 years ago. But not one thing did I see about it. Nobody seems to remember. Nobody seems to care. Nobody cared very much even when it was happening, but it is still in fact ongoing.

I speak of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant, that was stricken by an earthquake and tsunami on March 11th, 2011. Every day the plant is leaking radioisotopes into the ground water and the ocean and into the air. Most of which is completely harmless, because it can be cleaned up they say. Except for one particular isotope that is called Tritium. It is the radioactive form of hydrogen, a by product of nuclear fission. Tritium is sneaky when it comes to radioactive contamination areas, because it is a form of hydrogen it can BIND to water easily and can not be separated without advanced distillation techniques. When tritium is exposed to water it becomes "Heavy water", or "tritilated" water.
