Hi /sci/, coming up with writing ideas and could use help from people who know more about science than I do.
Is there any way humanity could reasonably cause the universe to end? I'm not well educated in particle physics but I keep seeing false vacuum decay popping up and being disproven by modern physics.

I was thinking of some sort of natural phenomenon that would make the current space we're inhabiting not habitable.
Is there anything that could have the similar effect of wiping out the universe (or just the earth)? Resources to more information of the topic are appreciated as well.
