It seems weird life had to become complex. It was perfectly OK as one cell organisms. - No pain. No suffering. No unecessary struggle. No pointless complexity for so many dead ends.

In fact unicelular life survives better as it multiplies, evolves fast, dies when it is not needed, etc.

Why it had to evolve to have awareness of this hellish universe? It seems almost evil.

Is there a quantum pressure to make life complex? Is life being molded by controling random chance from another dimension or universe? Otherwise It makes no sense the complex path even exist if entropy is true.

In fact it make sense life becomes more granular and dumber. More r-selected to the point of becoming unicelular again... but no.
