my department taught intro to proofs and took the math intro to proofs for credit. it was the same story with the probability theory class, where either the CS dept taught you mostly CS applications or the math dept. taught you towards more continuous structures.

I did a double major in math and CS with more math than CS at the end of my degree. I don't know why it's so hard to believe that CS majors do at least a modicum of mathematics lmao. Vector calculus is the heart of most popular CS classes like ML, computer vision, bio inspired computing, etc etc..
