>>12923536I’d say about a month now.
My instant coffee ran out, I didn’t bother to buy more that day and just kinda forgot it.
Not having coffee I may need a nap sometimes as I’ve noticed but that may just be because I’ve been reading a bunch non stop lately of science material and books I’ve never grappled with before. Or just my brain getting used to not being on caffeine. Either way the single nap doesn’t bother me. It’s quite comfortable.
During this month I’ve had caffeine twice, both times a friend handed me an energy drink. Both of those days I had a noticeable problem falling asleep (I drank them around 11:00 before lunch) and I slept for a longer time than I needed, woke up badly and didn’t dream.
So after those two experiences I just decided to try and quit.
It’s worth noting I’m very sensitive to all drug stimuli though, for example my first and only time on weed I saw hallucinations, audio and visual. With alcohol, geometry in walls and corners appears and my vision feels much more extreme and detailed.
Without coffee my brain feels better long term, I can sort of calmly think throughout the entire day with focus instead of just doing stuff in a sprint. Things feel nicer.
So in my example coffee is bad for me.
I recommend trying to not drink it for at least a month. I don’t plan to drink coffee or energy drinks again.
