I'm interested in crystallography but I saw from a quick search on the internet that it is a difficult subject and that in some countries bachelor degrees on it take up to 7 years!
I want to understand the crystalline lattices and the symmetry groups plus how to read pic related and maybe to know what type of crystal lattice will be produced by a certain chemical formula by using some computational lattice energy method.
What are the best introductory resources / books etc?
