I’ve read a couple books on chess openings, endgame drills, and general tips and tricks but I just can’t pass 1500 in online rankings. I haven’t memorized matches, my memory isn’t perfect and I don’t see it getting better with age (I’m 27). Last week I lost against some 900-ranked guy from India and I don’t know where else to turn.
What math books would be relevant for the game of chess? Are there mathematicians out there who have “solved” the game?
