Imagine working in a field where no one reads each other’s work, but is only concerned with publishing as much garbage as possible. No wonder suicide rates amongst PhDs are so high. Imagine being unable to secure funding for studies, so you end up doing some lame study for a globohomo megacorp that’ll literally prescribe the desired results.
