REU Question: do REUs drug test? I just got into one. I'm really happy, it's a super cool project. They sent me the acceptance email and gave me a letter that details terms a little further, stuff like the full duration, some other activities we'll be doing, stipulating that I need to be a citizen, payment, etc. They haven't mentioned a drug test, but I haven't accepted either (waiting to hear back from others, I have a week to decide).
Here's the deal. I use THC D8 (legal chemical analog to TBC D9 which is illegal, D8 is sold in every smoke shop and CBD store in town) to aid insomnia since I won't fuckin touch ambien. Drug tests don't test for THC D9, they test for chemicals that process THC, which doesn't discriminate between D8, D9, or anything like that, so I'll come up positive if they do test. I never have to worry about this because my current job is super chill and half the people there are major stoners. What do you think? Should I be worried? I haven't had any D8 in a week just in case, but I'd like to break my streak.
