I never bothered with learning about setting the Q point or whatever it's called. All the work around feedback and shit was pointless.
Every time I've used a BJT I didn't do a shred of math for it. Just chuck in a couple 1K resistors and you're golden.
Circuit worked just fine.
They make for nice highside switches.
This thread is arguing about pointless shit imo. Haha just use it bro who cares if it's voltage or current driven, you still gotta solder it to a wire either way.
