The idea that anything exists at all, or

The idea that there is a reality without anything existing whatsoever?

Why?

Wouldn't non-existence be impossible since the nothingness would be SOMETHING?

The problem of induction isn't a problem for some reason.
Empiricism is accurate.
Mathematical realism is true.
Group opinion (peer review) is a legitimate means of discerning reality.
Positivism is accurate.
Repeat apparent occurrences of events means those events are legitimate and real.
Objects maintain identity over time.
Having a doctorate means something of value.
Scientists also reject that value statements are legitimate even though they use them all the time.

realistically we're both. since time is known to be an emergent property, there is nothing stopping reality from being an infinite number of universes existing within a non-existent stretch of time, and we perceive it solely due to the emergent property of time.

Not quite. It simply follows trivially that nothingness is a fictional concept and that reality has to consist of something, and even if it's just an eternal black void.

Anything that exist would have to be powered through self-existence alone. It cannot depend on another. The situation leads to infinite loop/regress of the problem where the results come out to to absurdist situation.
