>>12916506>>12916514i mean, there's a small chance that elon went "ok, lets just install a better valve and be done with it" to avoid eating into performance, when they could like, totally over engineer that one part that seems to be the main issue behind the whole system, including the superheavy which should have no issues since its basically an easier version of the falcon 9 1st stage.
but really, just like over engineer that shit like a madman, 4 redundant pipes with 10 pumps and 10 valves (all best material and ultra expensive old space mentality) , youll take a 1% performance loss but guarantee your ultra reviolutionary space rocket which is measurably 10000 times better than anyhting in existence succeeds.
if they risk 100% of the proyect failing for a 1% perforamance gain they are super stupid, like really
just over engineer it like a madman, no matter how much you over do it it will still be 10.000 better than its competitor by any measurable metric, and then once starlinks EARNS YOU BILLIONS OF MONEY for each test launch then yes, if you see that it performs tooo good, you can slowly reduce the margins of the solution, you wouldnt be risking lives, you wouldnt even be risking the payload
this it eh correct aproach in case youre reading elon
