There are different types of schizophrenia. Some see more visuals, some are more paranoid and have magical thoughts to explain their paranoia. Some have complex forms with bipolar. The list goes on.
The most noticeable trait is their undying belief in their delusions, which no one else can see. They are usually completely irrational.
For example, they might believe the 'mafia' is after them, and tell you about bodies being buried in their backyard. The backyard is spotless. Kids who drew chalk on a porch is a 'sign' that from them that you did something wrong, and angered them. Three strikes, and they believe they will die. So they look for these signs of strike outs. Weird shit like that.
