Is there any point to self-study? I'm too poor to go to college, I'm 26 and work full-time but even after living like a monk and years of savings I can't afford to go back. I only finished calc 1 and physics based off of that. I want to improve my knowledge of math but if it will never lead to any career improvement I find it hard to motivate myself to do much more than watch numberphile which is basically trivia. Any advice? Do I have much of a chance of competing with college graduates?
