When the male hunters failed, their kin would starve. Females evolved socializing traits so that if her male died, she can leech off another male's success by that male's woman giving this widowed woman (and hence, her children) resources.
This is evidenced by males demonstrating physical aggression whilst women demonstrate relational aggression.
This is further evidenced by women seeking out fields of study like education, psychology, and daycare whilst men seek out fields of study like philosophy, engineering, and construction.
Mens brains literally have more gray matter than women's brains, whilst women's brains have more white matter than mens brains. White matter is linked to language processing and socializing (as is evidenced by multilingual people also having more white matter than monolingual people). Gray matter in contrast is linked to logical processing and abstract thinking. That is, men's and women's brains literally evolves to have a structure that is beneficial for their sexually dimorphic behavioral roles.
This perfectly predicts why men display less emotions than women (so-called "toxic masculinity"), since it's a feminine trait and not a useful trait for male roles. This also predicts why women are overly empathetic and fall into care-taker roles, as those are the feminine traits she's born to have. It also explains why men fall into the "disposable" role, since they're the provider role.
