At my university, my classes have online question forums. Something called Piazza. Anyway you can see the number of questions asked by people. I have asked the most by far in all my classes. Am I a retard for needing to ask so many questions?

No.
Plenty of undergrads are lazy as hell and could benefit from asking more.
Also, many are scared of looking stupid while asking something so they don't ask (in person or where their name is attached to the questions).

Not sure about online, but I've taken a lot of classes, and talked to the students in them. In my experience the smartest students were the ones asking all the questions. In upper level/graduate courses anyway.

It depends on the questions you ask, if you are asking a lot of simple and easy questions that you could have resolved yourself then you might be, but if your questions usually occur at logical jumps or to understand the detail of a topic more deeply then probably not
