First off admixture doesn't automatically mean all the genes related to high intelligence gets integrated first (or at all) and whatever other traits that's left follow afterwards. It means that a random set amount of traits found in the average caucasian mate gets passed off to the mixed offspring. Some get lighter skin, some get straighter hair, some get narrower noses, some get altered immune system, some get slight boost in intelligence, some get a little bit of each. An African American can get all the traits of a caucasian from an physical aesthetic standpoint without getting the intelligence part or vice versa.
Second when a population is notated to have 25% admixture it doesn't mean the ""average" African American has exactly 25% caucasian admixture with an exact IQ of 85, it means that the admixture among the population varies heavily so much that it totals up to that of 25% and 85 IQ.
Third the IQ issue in any given population is never clean and cut. There are African Americans who have high caucasian admixture (+50%) with higher IQ. But there are also those who are in the military/sciences along with their offspring who have higher IQ but low caucasian admixture. There are also African Americans who are from different sub-saharan ethnic groups/social stock (remember the slave trade was never only focused on one specific country or ethnic group) and even those groups varied in IQ.
