hi /sci/, first time - long time,

I have a really good eco-thermos that I love, but have been vanlife stealth camping for a while now, and more than a few times I needed to urinate in the thermos. Its a stainless steel construction but the screw top is plastic with plastic seal and plastic spout. I know there is a lot of smart people here, so asking-- if I use lots of boiling water and soap, it will make it useable as a drinking water bottle again? Or is the plastic bits forever tarnish by urine molecules? And there would be aftertaste right? But, would it be harmful? Thanks for your considerate help here. This feels like a chemistry and particle dilution question, as well as destroying any bacterial elements.
