if any planet with life wins the lottery by having a M0V as their star, then that planet is literally guaranteed a long future.
that planet has virtually all the time in the universe to develop advanced life with no problems at all.

you would be right if it wasn't for a tiny little detail these stars have.
they have 60% the mass of our sun, 62% the radius, 7.2% the luminosity and a surface temperature from 3800k to 4000k.

which means that the planets can afford to be away far enough from their parent star to not be affected by radiation, can afford to rotate and have moons, can stay warm and develop life at a slow pace.
when the star calms down, it will literally be a paradise world better than earth itself.
earth just have a billion years left before life becomes impossible.
not planets around M0V stars.

yes.
depending on the planet, we could only have a regular earth day on autumn if we lived on the equator, only there we can have 20°C day.
it would be a constant dawn, the sun in the sky would always be like a dawn.

I am 100% sure at this moment in time that main-sequence stars aka yellow dwarves are the best for supporting. They have to be 1 stellar mass and be a solitary star.

only if it is a flare star, most of the time they are calm.

not that much though, the goldilocks zone is far away enough to make a planet with a decent magnetosphere to survive, just enough.
too close and it will burn, too far and we have an eye ball world, just in the middle and we have a planet similar to earth, lets just forget about finding life of land.

Wonder if it would be possible for a planet without a magnetosphere to be protected by a couple of satellites with magnetospheres. I assume the smaller size of the planet's satellites make them less likely to have magnetosphere but the universe is a big place. Maybe it has happened somewhere. After all, there was a natural nuclear reactor in Africa 1.7 billion years ago so crazy complex things can happen naturally.

If you think about it in geological scales. The timeframe for a civilization to reach interplanetary scale is actually less than a blink. Which is already ridiculous since a civilization is also a blink in those scales.

with M0V red dwarf stars, your habitable zone is just enough to reach the orbit of venus if you want an eyeball planet.
in fact the zone would be just around the middle point between mercury and venus in terms of distance.
