You only need the definitions and the axioms if you're smart, a text handbook full of definitions or a similar thing.
A brief explanation is nice if you are really dumb

i didn't say to look through all the books. if you can't read my post helping you, i doubt you'll be able to read a diff geo book, weakling. just search for undergrad diff geo books, and download the ones that sound good and skim a few. having a few books on hand is nice anyway for when you need alternative explanations.

Then what books cover the usefull stuff? Specifically, tensors, manifolds, vector bundles, Gauss Bonnet theorem, etc, without requiring deep knowlegde of topology?

I guess try to search for Elementary Differential Geometry book, libgen website for example, Internet Archive maybe.
I may give you some examples of text books, you should also have reasonable knowledge of Calculus and Linear Algebra

I used Barrett O'Neill for a while. It takes small steps and is not too wordy, so I liked it. Kobayashi is of course excellent as well.
