>>12908806>i'm not, but many of them are lost causes...most of them are suffering from a mental illness, america has a severe mental health issue. in fact, most countries do.
they need help and yes it would be difficult, but these are our fellow human beings and (I'm assuming) your fellow countrymen and women.
Isn't helping those in need supposed to be a christian trait, yet it's taking me, an atheist, to try and convince you that it's a good idea?
>we wouldn't need the level of police...in the usa it's the blacks, in the uk it's the irish, in nigeria it's the muslims and in romania it's the gypsies.
maybe it's not the race, but the socio-economic environment that causes these people to feel and think that their only option is to resort to crime and violence?
I live in a poor part of London, UK and a few years ago the conservative government decided to make major financial cuts to the police budget and various youth clubs, once those things that kids wanted to go to were gone the crime rate spiked and a kid got stabbed to death at a local park. this isn't just an isolated case, ever since those budget cuts for police and youth clubs happened the crime rate has steadily increased all over london and all throughout the UK.
this could have been avoided.
I don't hate the police, I just think that they haven't received enough training to deal with every single shitty situation that they're tasked with cleaning up. it's not fair to them and it's not fair to the public, which is why I want police reform.
>the global warming pop-sci and politiciansokay, let's imagine that you're right. we would still have to deal with terrible air, water and soil quality due to various pollutants ranging from everyday cars (which I hate to admit, because I really do love motorsport and all the beautiful cars that have come from it) to fracking and coal power plants. I would like to avoid the possibility of the whole world becoming a smog smothered, asthmatics nightmare like china.
