No, it just attracts young men who are socially awkward and that's what the board culture is thus built upon. Anyone who sticks around and uses 4chan consistently after visiting briefly will usually be in that demographic, barring the obvious outliers like /pol/ and /soc/

Yes, in that every time you communicate with another person, you're recycling common references. The more common references you collect from 4chan, the more likely it is that you'll accidentally recycle one of those references in a generic social setting, and the less likely it is that you'll be in tune with generic common references.

Basically it's the dangerously addictive (for autist) combination of pseudo-socialization that rewards itself in a meme-based feedback and lowered attention span loop
