If river make hole in ground?
And ground become canyon
Why not all rivers grand canyon hole in ground?

Grand canyon much doubt.

I legit an asking though. I don't believe the official story. Why don't all rivers create huge canyons? And the width of the river in the GC is so narrow...how did the canyon get so wide?!

Was it an ancient quarry?

But some rocks are softer than others. Rocks laying under soil on warious depth. Soil composition varies. Plants in the area. There is literally thousands of variables. Are you really think that every single time everything will be the same.

Call it valleys and you have a better start. And the valley cannot be deeper than the plateau it started carving out, which is where the mountain peaks remain. So that is the first problem.

Then there is erosion, the tallest mountains are ground down by weather, so a major canyon will have to be in a place that didn't experience obliteration by erosion. That excludes huge parts of the world.

Then you have tectonics, whereby entire continent disappear. Also changes ion sea level do that, ref. Doggerland.

In summary: read up on geology. It is quite interesting.
