what fucking class is that, dude? Engineering 101? Notation changes constantly and is totally arbitrary in math and physics. By grad school, notation becomes more of a burden than anything and nobody gives a fuck if you name it c, C, or $\xi$ or whatever.

Lol I was actually thinking OP's prof is probably a chemist or an engineer or something, and they have them teaching the freshman math classes. I've noticed that people like chemists and engineers who don't actually understand or enjoy math, always completely misunderstand what it's about. They're very up-tight and particular about their notation.

Besides the capitalization and R not being bold or blackboard bold, what >>12903438 wrote is right, since the antiderivative is a function. If you write $+C\forall C\in\mathbb{R}$ then it means that for any input, there are infinitely many different outputs since $C$ varies over all of $\mathbb{R}.$ This is why you specify $+C$ for some $C\in\mathbb{R}$ rather than for all $C\in\mathbb{R}.$
