>>12900102Hey OP, I'm 31 and just returned to university to hopefully learn neuroscience and pharmacology.
I would say always try to learn new things (e.g., a language, science on khan academy, philosophy by reading/youtube). Try apps like Duolingo, Brilliant, Khan, Deepstash.
Challenge yourself in small, incremental steps.
Build the habit of more reading and less time gaming / unprodoctive internet time, etc.
I haven't done any proper experimentation (blind studies, etc) with lion's mane, but I've been taking it daily (sometimes with coffee) for the last year and I do feel a lot more mental clarity than previous years.
This is coming from having done a bunch of drugs in my early-mid 20s (I particularly blame MDMA) - I felt much slower.
Again, I can't also say with 100% certainty that psychedelics help, but from my subjective experiences, psychedelics made me more curious about things. It brought back the childlike fascination with learning. I also caution that you musn't abuse this. Once or twice a year as a little 'reset' will do you good, at least it did for me.
And some basic shit that we often tend to disregard: proper sleep, exercise, and a healthy diet (making fruit/veggies smoothies with green powder supplements is an easy way) play an important role here too.
Good luck.
