it's just a mobius transform, right? Moves:
0 -> -1
? -> +1
-1 -> ? (because neg. resistance isn't real)
+1 -> 0
+i -> +i
-i -> -i

If you wanted the susceptance, or negative resistance (amplifier) chart you'd just swap the poles around till the relevant point is at the origin

I used to use smith charts for impedance matching of rf ciruits back in the days, but it’s possible to do it without. Just requires more math.
