If the focus is on encouraging creative thinking and philosophy I'm not opposed to it, scientists that are less dogmatic and more flexible in thought benefits everyone. The only concern I have with """STE(A)M""" is that it probably won't be used in this way, but will instead be used to funnel funding to the more useless "arts", but even this doesn't worry me that much because when those investing in these "arts" see no returns and the students see little employment/benefit we'll see that the public/students/teachers will still favour STEM subjects and that no matter how hard it's pushed the arts will never be on the same level as the others
