Right now as I'm writing this I never memorised it, but I just imagine a y and x axis. Then I think about what speed is. It's how fast something is going, you use time and length to measure that. Time is generally on the x axis, so the formula is length/time = speed. Or distance rather now that I've looked it up to double check. This way you don't have to remember a bunch of equations.
