What are the difficulties of "test tube babies", "designer babies", "three-parent babies", etc. besides their being an affront to God?

Clone is a one parent baby and it's not mor inbred than the parent.
If you use two gaploid gametes artificially grown to be of different sexes from one parent, then it would raise the risk of recessive diseases manifesting, but if you're so hi-tech, you may as well engineer them in a way that all or most of those diseases are gone for good.

Explain, biology was a while ago for me. Wtf is a haploid and gamete? I forgot.
How would you go about making a tranny gene to make babies with? this makes no sense to me.
Designing them not to have defects seems like a magic wand fix and I doubt that tech could ever really be accurate enough to be that good of a band aid.

our cells have double ammount of chromosomes (half is from mom and half is from dad) but germ cells (the ones going to be whether eggs or sperm) have only half of those (and they go through crossingover - taking pieces from mom and dad chaotically, so every germ cell is unique, and that's why children from the same parents are usually rather different) gamete is such a haploid (as the opposite to diploid) cell, as the opposite to zygote.
