>>12887841When I'm studying or doing my homework and I make a mistake, I literally write myself a long-form correction in my notes in red pen and third person as if I were a teacher correcting my work. It feels a little schizophrenic at times but for whatever reason it helps me retain info like a motherfucker.
When I'm struggling to understand a concept I'll also write out a long-form "lesson plan" as if I were planning to teach the concept to a class of students.
IDK, I'm fucking weird. I'm also 27 and in college for the first time so maybe that's why it works so well for me. I think a lot of the "after your teens you can't learn gud" shit comes from people not understanding that as you get older, you become more socially accustomed to showing people how to do things rather than being shown. I decided to try to work with that mindset rather than fight it and it turns out it works pretty good for me.
