do you think we could one day build machines indistinguishable from human beings?

- First answer: we believe that the construction of a human-robot is impossible.

If this is the case, there must be one or more properties of human beings that can never be reproduced by any machine. In this case, the problem we are immediately faced with is determining what these properties are.

- Second answer: we believe that the construction of a human-robot is possible.

In other words: we think it is possible to build a machine that perfectly simulates our behavior in every aspect.

However, if this is really the case, all the properties of human beings must be mechanically reproducible; there is nothing that distinguishes us from machines: we are simply machines. In this case the problem we face is that of explaining how a simple mechanism can produce thought, self-awareness, emotions, aesthetic sense and awareness of values.
