My stepmoms best friends mom who she was really close to died during covid so I went to the funeral.
It was a small rural town in northern wisconsin, we all ended up at a bar where we spent many hours.
I was 17 at the time (18 now), but some people bought some alcohol for me. I had some cherry drink, then two captain and root beers. People started clearing out and eventually the party grew small. I felt very strange, it was the first time I'd truly felt drunk. I went for a walk and danced to some music. My stepbrother found his uncle who he thought had died years before in the bar, and I met him and his friends. The cook made some bacon for the few people that remained in the bar and it tasted incredible. Me and my dad played pool. I talked to my stepmom about things. She was a teen mom when she had my stepbrother, I'd never asked her much about it. But I did that night.
There was some guy that looked like James Spader that was cool. He offered to buy me another drink but I declined. I should have said yes. He ended up puking all over an hour later, though.
Wish I had friends to do stupid shit with
