Still that's only one side of the coin as far as chemistry goes, I'd wager inorganic and organic chemistry is something you don't know about

Well at a deeper level most of chemistry could be explained with quantum mechanics. That being said QM is pretty cumbersome so we generally use chemistry-specific layers of abstraction and models which I doubt most physicists would know well.

I disagree with OP. Chemical electrons pair up in spin up/down combination because it makes them happy while two of the same kinds of spins are unhappy when they are paired together. In physics, and specifically in the quantum mechanics of molecules, electrons pair up this way due to the Pauli exclusion principle and the underlying energy landscape. Physical electrons are much less prone to act based on emotion than chemical electrons which is a big difference.
