Did some quick back of the envelope calc:
>mcboatface weighs 200,000 tonnes
>lots is under water and theirfore lots of displacement force still acting upon it
>let's say that it's nose rests on the canal bed with no more than 40,000 tonnes.
>stiction coefficient is about 0.4 (dont really know)
>ergo, you need to pull it with 16,000 tonnes.

>Build 5, 50-1 pulley systems on the side of the canal
>Now you only need 320 tonnes of pulling strength
>Have 5 bulldozers pull with 64 tonnes of force
