No but that is because we are biased towards telling the truth, so there is a inherit trust that communication is truthfull while in reality.

This is a giant social security issue.

Imagine if lying was the norm, wede all be super detectives and could supress highly deceptive influences.. This might have been a previous state of humanity where lying was rampant, and we regressed forward into a world of trust becuase of our own misguided ability to tell out lies...

Humans are social creatures. If lying was the norm you could not trust anyone, meaning thay you could not form real social bonds. Lies can be benficial sometimes, but telling the truth is often more beneficial to both parties at hand.
What do you mean by a social security issue? You don't have to lie if you don't want to tell someone something. Just tell that you don't want to share.

Besides, lying makes many people uncomfortable, and when people figure out they have been lied to they feel betrayed. Maybe it's because of the society, but I believe that treachery is universally frowned upon.

Lying is totally acceptable if you are faced with unreasonable people or with people which wield power in an unacceptable way.

Lying in the context of honest mutualistic relationships is what it's considered bad.

But again, everybody lies and lying comes pretty easy to humans.

This is like saying, maybe humans would be really good swimmers or climbers. But we are not, we are just okay. The fact that we are not like that proves that your hypothesis is wrong.

Human society(in the ecological manner) as the most efficient. Always, at all times.
In 2021 US, this includes, forming bonds based on being nice, forming smaller and greater social circles which may be subsets of others, lying a certain amount mostly because of 'politeness, being honest because you expect the other person to be honest to, racism, tribalism, the leftovers of primal fears(sudden movement, darkness, eyes, etc.) and many more.

Of course there are fluctuations over time and differences per regions, but generally in this time, place, and this level of civilization the way human society works is perfect(all the bad shit included). Not perfect for the individual but perfect in the way, that it's the most perfect for itself, because if it wasn't perfect it wouldn't exist.

This might not seem related, but a blockchain is a peer to peer network that is trustless, peers squawk their transactions and only the one with most "mining" gets added to the blockchain...
Its called proof of work..

Its not safe to assume human social hierarchiy is anything but natural. I argue its deliberately created to suppress their fellow competitions.
