When i came here, i had hoped it would be a place to talk about shit like modding my microscope or designing experiments in my back yard "lab". Which alcohol and which lard/oil is best for making borated candle wax... that sort of thing.

The mass is the sum of the masses of the two magnets, or i should say, the weight. If you lift the lower magnet you will have to exert a force equal to the weight of both magnets. The upper magnet is not weightless, that is just informal speech for saying it is floating. As with the wave/particle duality the problem was semantics all along.

Don't forget the germ theory is wrong therads....
For what ever reason there was a really good week or two for this board back in january. I remember coming on here whilst studying for an exame and being anoyed because there were too many threads i wanted to respond to.
There were also some better times like a year ago, but evn then the race, iq and consciousness threads were everywhere.
