>>12877004there are many factors besides IQ that predict how successful you will be financially, include how hard working you are, how sociable you are, how mentally stable you are, how well you can concentrate and how motivated you are, how attractive you are, nepotism, height, luck that is being at the right place at the right time and your own personal interests.
Obviously the data is going to be noisy, you cant control every (or any really) variable which is going to water down any correlation between income and x. But despite how this, your graph still demonstrates a correlation between income and IQ. IQ is a better predictor of financiall sucess than any other factor, including how hardworking and attractive you are ect. OP are you going to start claiming that ATTRACTIVENESS or HARD WORK = BULLSHIT, "PROVE ME WRONG" no you wouldn't because that's retarded for the same reason why IQ = BS is retarded. Researches noticed the this which is why they use Median values, rather than mean values when correlating IQ and income see
>>12883107Nevertheless, even if there was no correlation between IQ and income, that dose not make IQ bullshit. People care about its predictive power of IQ more than just its correlation with income. IQ correlates with literacy abilities from .79 to .99 depending on the cohort (members in shared cohorts will intrinsically have more in common, thus variations between each other are reduced, and the predictive power of x, in this case IQ, increases), as well as mathematical ability ect.
>>12886957>No you. Also try searching for “what is statistically significant” and “noise”No, you do that. Noise will Always be present when measuring things that are multivariable (and increasingly present with additional variables. Income is very multivariable), that doesn't undermine the existence of each variable. This is elementary statistics.
