I'm not so sure if two very different biological systems can be melded together without problems, but let us say you could create an entirely new body based on your cells just without the head, and you had the right methods re-attaching the nervous system and spinal cord, then I would believe you could attach your head on a grown copy of your body.
If anything at all, I believe we could have a life support system/containment unit for the brain and attach it to a mechanical body.
In all likelihood though I think the most like scenario is bio-engineering not just traits, but capability, probably the easier way to do it compared to needing millions of mechanical parts to work in tandem without failure, unless it involves leaning heavily on nano-machines.
