Yes, he'll be an excellent shot, and yes, some of that skill will translate over well in a realistic warfare scenario, but he won't know anything else about war other than to just shoot. He won't know anything about squad tactics, he won't know anything about camaraderie, he won't know anything about supply lines, or rucking, or night operations, or how to read a topographical map. He also won't know how to accept a surrendering enemy, or distinguish the difference between a feint and a retreat. He won't know when to suppressing fire, or when to snipe key targets.
There's a reason why people on 4chan call those uber-autistic asian types "soulless". If you only min-max one trait in real life, you'll never be anything more than a pawn, or an expendable asset for someone far more creative and socially hooked-up than you to use.
