I was told 3 to 12 weeks before any therapeutic effects would be felt. If you feel like they're not helping talk to your GP, if I remember correctly most people switch meds at least once before they find themselves on one that works. In my experience I'd say that I felt therapeutic effects in about 2/4 weeks, but I started having side effects within a couple of days, which sucked. I've been on Fluoxetine now for almost 4 years and my only regret is that I didn't start on them sooner.

Sertralin and it started to work after 2 days. Psychiatrist said it's rare but not unheard of. Side effects were brisk though. Diarrhea, tremor, shaking eyes, dry mouth, heavily reduced libido, QT extension.
Remaining side effects after 5 weeks is tremor, QT extension and reduced libido. But besides that I'm feeling great.

I've been taking Sertraline for about 2 months now. I haven't coomed in weeks. The last time I tried, I spent about an hour furiously whacking my wiener to all the sick degen porn that used to do it for me, and nothing. I just gave up and went to watch a movie instead. Shit sucks.

Shiiiiit. I've noticed when I cooom it's not as good as it used to be, and I've also seen a decrease in libido, but neither of them are massively severe. And considering the problem it's solving, I'll take those side effects.
