It is theoretically possible to genetically engineer mankind in such a way that, instead of giving birth to babies, they give birth to eggs, where the baby develops until becoming able to live by himself without parents' support

Everybody on this website is like a 16 year old that doesn't know anything. Humans already do have eggs but they are very small. Are you talking about how a chicken lays eggs that don't hatch until after the baby is born? Most mammals leave the womb without an egg.

Human's lay their egg every 28 days (women's period) but the egg is so small you can't see it.

And also your question, yes of course it is "possible" to genetically engineer mankind to do that, but why the fuck would we do that?

The question is : how expensive would that be synthesize every fucking thing the child will need, how practical would it be, and also, say whatever you want about how shitty pregnancy is, there are women complaining about the fact that epidural injections made them feel nothing and they wanted to feel the baby come out.

Pregnancy may be shitty but women WANT to be pregnant for the most part.

What about a surrogate organism like a genetically modified slug or something that grows a human baby inside.
It could have its own digestive track and be feed simple food that it converts into the vitamins etc that the growing baby needs.
