Brainlet here, can someone please explain me how scientific advancement in Mathematics happens? Firstly, Is Math an invention or a discovery, I always thought of it as a discovery as the rules already exist. So, how does one discover new things in Math. I can understand discovering new things in Physics because they exist and we can interact with them. But isn't Math too much of an abstract concept? So how do nee discoveries happen?
