Do you think it's possible that the average red blood cel count of the general population has increased as a result of widespread adoption of face masks/coverings? The logic I'm using behind this is that face masks reduce the total airflow rate by some amount, which would result in less total air than people are used to, and as a result the body has to work more to effectively transport oxygen.
I wasn't sure which board I should post this question in, so I'm leaving it here. If I'm just stupid and the answer is obviously that nothing has changed just lmk.
Had this thought while at work today and haven't done a lot of personal research, just figured someone here could save me some time googling.
