Just how valid is this hypothesis? It raises some good points, like Jupiter and plate tectonics, but then again it seems like its grasping at straws at times. Could a large moon or a Mars-sized neighbor really be considered necessary for life?

Feels like this theory took all the things that make Earth "unique" and sew them together for one "unified" hypothesis.
