>>12855367slow down there cowboy, you are making some unfair presuppositions. first you are saying that because "tattooed people i know are well-adjusted" that means you can extrapolate that very anecdotal evidence to the entire population. next you are making an ad-hominem by calling tattoo critics "friendless incels".
here are my arguments for why tattoos are bad:
1. it's a permanent change to your body which is by nature meant to be changing/evolving/adapting/improving over time.
2. the human body is a divine miracle, science can't explain how life arose out of nothing. even if life just came about due to random molecules smashing together, humans are the result of billions of years of evolution. desecrating your body with markings, akin to graffiti, shows a complete disregard for the sanctity of human life and leads to all kinds of moral qualms.
3. people regret their tattoos, or try to compensate by attempting to maintain their original mindset and personality to stay in line with their initial reason for getting the tattoo. This can lead to poor decision making. For example, let's say you are in love with someone and you get their name tattooed on your chest. Later, your feelings change but you have their name permanently etched onto your skin so you decide to stay with them.
as far as i'm concerned tattoos are a thought virus and people are proudly displaying the symptoms of this virus on their skin.
