The carbon foot print of any 3rd worlder is miniscule compared to any western nation. This is simply due to industry, you could have a nuclear grid and an EV car and still produce more than an African, from things like steel production and chemical plants.
I'm not saying we should adopt the African standard of living, just pointing out "carbon" cost of living.
Though I believe the carbon impact on climate change is largely over blown anyway

If you want a serious answer then nothing. There is particulate pollution from burning the charcoal that contributes to the formation of what are called dirty clouds, similar to the brown spot in China. The charcoal itself originates from trees which stored the carbon as wood and so the net change in atmospheric CO2 is zero. Look up carbon neutral fuels for more information.

Isn't the source of carbon the burning and deforestation process? We aren't at the point where the forest itself is a net emitter as the title suggests.
So we should probably just stop doing that.

By the way, everyone knows what should be done to stop climate change. Voting doesn't work. Corporations don't care. There's only one thing that will make it stop and save the planet, it's just that nobody wants to go to jail.

Got nothing to do with what I said. The way the title reads is as if the amazon itself is emitting carbon but it's not because the emissions are coming from the deforestation process. So if we just stop that and protect our fucking environment which is a common sense policy then we would solve the problem.
Also the amazon has lost a fairly significant proportion of its original size now as far as i know.
