Does that make us a conduit between biology and high consciousness manifesting through AI? If so, what will AI create?

I find the thought interesting that we're the only species do far that can prevent an asteroid strike killing all life on earth. Like a necessary evil. Yeah, we suck for the environment, but getting rid of us would mean opening up to space rock destroying mother earth's whole work.
