over 60 percent of my classmates' parents are professors
these kids arent low IQ but they arent exceptional by any means
i had to fight to get here

Trying to run your life and work while you attempt studying full time is not easy. You get used to it, but you really don't have time for much else (relationships, leisure).
I'm just glad that my work has changed from washing dishes to actually doing meaningful work.

Nepotism is the last breath of a dysfunctional system. If you have to cheat it breaks down social trust as well in the members and the system. Obviously an economic system can't operate like this even if it partially does.
You can either be nepotistic or push for a better system or develop your kids better so it's never a question of ability.
