>>12840700>I think you're fixating on the political affiliations of the posters and not the way formulate responses.I'm not focusing on political affiliations. If we had leftypol, and bernie sanders had won an election, we'd probably have a ton of redditcucks swarming every board. And they'd probably call the normal /sci/ posters stormcels.
In either case, an influx of midwits is damaging.
On your "formulate responses" point, I don't browse reddit so I don't know how they write. I know that the q-anon posters tend to write like paranoid psychotics:
>anyone who doesn't think exactly like I do is a paid shill/ brainwashed/ botHow do you even discuss science or math with them? You want to discuss a topic like evidence for string theory versus evidence for loop quantum gravity, you get a bunch of mentally ill posters saying GR is a jewish conspiracy and string theory and LQG are doomed by trying to incorporate GR.
Any evidence for GR is just some chink or kike or leftist forging data, and any evidence against GR is suppressed.
If the tables were turned we would get leftards saying IQ studies are forged by rich white men so as to keep women and minorities in subservient roles. And I would also call these people retards.
The intelligent people who were on this board didn't want to sift through the midwits to find good conversation. They've mostly stopped using 4chan, and they've become refugees on discords.
Personally, I rarely come on /sci/ anymore. I'm tired of talking with people only to find out later they are a midwit conspiretard.
/biz/ is one of the only normal boards, since q-tards seem to hate crypto, so I spend most of my 4chan time on there, and some on /fit/ and vidya boards
