Gulp. Never applied to an REU before, is this okay? Too much? I don't know how much I can really cut, it all feels relevant. I'm really passionate about the program. Here's the structure by paragraph:

>Intro explaining me, interests, how i came to be interested in my field, etc
>Paragraph outlining my research experience, what ive gained from it, what i like about it, etc
>Transition from this into the specific program, how it suits my interests, why it's important, how i chose the specific project within the REU
>Questions i seek to answer for myself having completed the REU/what i seek to gain
>Career aspirations, plans post-graduation
